Botulinum toxin (“Botox”) has been used safely and successfully to treat wrinkles for many years. Nevertheless, it can happen that the result does not meet your expectations.
Can Botox be “dissolved” again immediately?
In contrast to hyaluronic acid fillers, there is no antidote that immediately reverses the effect of Botox. The muscles need time to recover on their own.
How long does the effect last?
The effect begins after approx. 3-7 days.
It reaches its maximum after 2 weeks.
On average, the effect lasts 3-6 months. After that, the effect completely wears off by itself.
What can you do if you are dissatisfied?
Wait and see: Even if it is unpleasant – the result is always only temporary.
Follow-up appointment: After 2 weeks we can check together whether a follow-up correction is advisable.
Facial expression training: In some cases, light movement exercises can reactivate the nerves more quickly.
Patience: Nature helps – gradually the full muscle strength returns.
Good news
Botox is not permanent. Even if the result is not optimal, facial expressions normalize completely after a few months.
