Lip augmentation

The lips have always been an eye-catcher in the middle of the face. Nothing for nothing is dedicated to them the cosmetics industry with numerous products, such as lipstick, contour lift, just to name a few.

Collagen, own fat or hyaluronic acid to inject into the lips are sufficiently well known and effective to give the lips not only volume but also a new shape.

A disadvantage of these methods is the limited effect or duration of the result full of lips. Why is this so?

Permanent fillers such as silicone hold, but when it comes to unwanted complications, such as movement or foreign body reactions, these are only time-consuming, if at all to get rid of.

Since the biologically well-tolerated fillers can also often harden or form nodules in the lips after repeated application, patients who frequently need a rework, e.g. very narrow-lipped patients or models, have discovered a new technique with which not only permanently larger lips but also newly formed ones can be modelled.

In the USA, the so-called Lip Long Horn Bull Lift, named after the portrait of the Long Horn Bull, is already "in".

In the USA, the so-called Lip Long Horn Bull Lift, named after the portrait of the Long Horn Bull, is already "in".

What is this?

The technique is not really new, but because certain patients no longer want to have regular injections, either for financial reasons or because they have become accustomed to the new lips, this technique is experiencing a renaissance in order to achieve a final solution.

Technique - Method

Under the nose bridge the cupoid arch, that is the central part of the lip where it makes the sensual upswing, is lifted over your small cut and fixed with fine seams hardly visible.

If, in addition, more lateral parts of the lip are to be lifted, the cut is extended so that it reaches up to the nostrils and then looks like the head of a longhorn bull.

The method is a one-off procedure that eliminates the need for frequent post-operative injections to model the lips and saves the patient the financial expense of doing so in the long term.

The main advantage is that once the patient has found his desired shape, he will receive it in the long term with a single procedure.

Another advantage is that the distance between the upper lip and the nose can be shortened if it is too long.
