The procedure usually takes 60 to 90 minutes and can generally be performed on an outpatient basis.<\/p>\n
In children, the surgery is often performed under general anesthesia.
\nIn adults, treatment is often possible under local anesthesia with twilight sleep.<\/p>\n
The incisions are made behind the ear, so the scars are barely visible later on<\/p>\n
After the surgery, a head bandage is worn for a few days.
