Chemical Peeling

Chemical Peeling is another alternative to Dermabrasion. It improves the surface of the skin for minor irregularities such as scars, blemishes and fine wrinkles. It is usually used for facial treatments but may also be applied to the neck and cleavage.

For this purpose, a chemical substance is applied and the skin peels. Various substances are used, notably fruit acids since this method is very mild. Trichloroacetic acid is more effective. By applying the substance, the upper skin layer is corroded and the skin is obliged to regenerate itself. A delicate upper skin layer grows back with a visibly more beautiful skin structure.

Chemical peeling is well suited to compensating fine wrinkles and dry skin areas, eradicating minor acne and removing superficial pigment blemishes. The chemical peeling process is individual by choice of substance, which depends not only on the skin irregularities to be removed but also on the number of treatments.

After treatment, the skin is treated with a special ointment which accelerates the healing process and prevents infection. The appointment must be applied until the skin is completely healed. Direct exposure to some of the treated skin must be avoided at all costs and the use of a sun protection cream with a high sun protection factor of 20 to 30 is imperative for a total of three months.
